Measurement and Regulation of flow rates using various test instrumentation to set air/water volumes to the design requirements.
Ventilation diffuser airflows are tested using a collection hood and Anemometer. Duct air volumes are tested by inserting a pitot tube into the duct and traversing the air velocity, these measurements are recorded using a Micromanometer.
The fans are tested to ensure safe and correct operation, measuring the fan suction and discharge pressures by Micromanometer, and the motor and fan speeds by touch or strobe tachometer, the motors running current is tested by the use of a clamp meter.
Pumps are tested in the same fashion as a fan, the suction and discharge pressures are measured with pressure gauges, the water distribution and regulation is recorded using a U tube manometer or digital manometer.
