It is a recommendation of BS6700 that all newly installed potable water systems be disinfected prior to being put into service. Barfield provide fully trained and equipped personnel to carry out sanitations.

Our service is comprehensive, catering for both new and existing systems, whether they be for major installations with numerous outlets and extensive external mains, or injections to single outlets.

Through our various connections within the water treatment industry we are able to source and if requested supply cooling tower equipment. However we do not undertake the ongoing maintenance treatment of cooling tower systems. This enables us to provide a totally independent service for the disinfection and physical cleaning of cooling towers. We are equipped to carry out high pressure water jetting and are also able to provide the specialist service of acid descaling.

As we have no interest in obtaining a treatment maintenance contract the reports issued following our works will be an accurate appraisal of the current condition of the cooling tower. The report will include if applicable recommendations for improvements or, areas of concern where certain elements or practises may not appear to comply with current legislation. These can then be discussed between the client and current maintenance water treatment company.
